The Christmas carol Es kommt ein Schiff, geladen has been one of my favourite German Christmas carols since childhood. Its ancient text and melody date back to the 14th century and herald the great miracle of Christmas. I am delighted that my arrangement was premiered by the VOCES Scholar Ensemble as part of the Live from London 2025 concert series during my time as a VOCES8 Scholar. From its first rehearsals with my Stuttgart vocal ensemble calens to recordings in London and a performance by the Berlin Radio Choir at Berlin Cathedral in December 2025, the piece has travelled a long way. Now, the ship has finally arrived and is published by VOCES8 Publishing.
