The 2023 Grammy-nominated British vocal ensemble VOCES8 is proud to inspire people through music and share the joy of singing. Touring globally, the group performs an extensive repertoire both in its a cappella concerts and in collaborations with leading orchestras, conductors and soloists. Welcome Eleonora!
We’re delighted to introduce Eleonora Poignant, our new soprano, who will be joining VOCES8 in 2025! We’re very much looking forward to welcoming her into the family over the next few months.
Here’s a few words from Eleonora:
“Growing up in Sweden, with its proud and long choral tradition, I (like many other people) have always admired VOCES8 as an institution of great innovation and technical excellence. I could never have imagined that I would find myself in the surreal situation of being given the chance to do the thing I love the most - experiencing and sharing in the creation of beautiful sound - and on top of that, with this very group!
I’m absolutely thrilled to get the opportunity to work alongside such amazing chamber musicians and people, and together with them explore all nuances of ensemble singing!”
VOCES8 turns 20
Join VOCES8 for its official 20th anniversary concert on 8 June 2025, with its Barbican debut. The VOCES8 Scholars, former members of the ensemble and special guests, the BBC Singers will be joining us.
