Anabela Barić

Anabela Barić

Anabela Barić has an MA in classical archaeology and finished her vocal studies in Zagreb, Croatia where she currently lives. She performed operatic roles at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb (Händel, Mozart and Janaček) as well as at various festivals abroad (Dubrovnik, Barcelona, Oviedo, Bruges, Brussels, Antwerp, Modena, Vicenza). She loves ensemble singing and since 2015 performs regularly with Antiphonus vocal ensemble in Croatia and abroad and has also started performing with Belgian ensemble Vox Luminis in 2022.

Anne Sutton

Anne Sutton

American soprano Anne Sutton is quickly establishing herself as a versatile young artist in the UK. She recently made her Wigmore Hall debut as the soprano soloist in extracts from Bach’s B Minor Mass with Rachel Podger. She was a fellow with St. Martin’s Voices, second place winner in the AESS National English Song Competition, Associate Artist at Nevill Holt Opera, directing fellow with the Guildhall Opera School, and is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music.

Emily Brown Gibson

Emily Brown Gibson

Toronto-born soprano Emily Brown Gibson is a recent graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music where she studied with Mary Plazas. Prior to RNCM, Emily completed an Mst in Music (Distinction) at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Recent highlights include premiering the role of Daughter in Kerrin Tatmen’s, Requiem for a Fading World at Sage Gateshead, singing the role of Venus in Benslow Music's performance of Weldon's Judgment of Paris, and making her Wigmore Hall debut performing works by Anna Þorvaldsdóttir.

Bettina Schaeffer

Bettina Schaeffer

Bettina, Alto, was born and raised in Mainz, Germany. During her studies in Cologne, she discovered her passion for early music and established a regular activity as a soloist and ensemble singer, having worked with Chorwerk Ruhr, Koelner Akademie and Balthasar Neumann Choir, among others. She is also active as an opera singer and in the field of vocal improvisation. In addition to her own artistic performances, she also works as a singing teacher and vocal coach for ensembles.

Colin Danskin

Colin Danskin

Colin is a freelance tenor, conductor and teacher, working in Oxford and London. He completed a masters in Solo Voice Ensemble Singing at the University of York in 2020. During 2022-23 Colin was a lay clerk at Magdalen College, Oxford and a choral scholar with the Oxford Bach Soloists. Recent solo work includes Bach, Lully and Charpentier with a variety of choral societies. Colin teaches and conducts for Oxford Youth Choirs and is delighted to be joining the Voces8 Scholars!

Chris O’Leary

Chris O’Leary

Scottish tenor Chris O’Leary studied music at Oxford and was a choral scholar at Christ Church Cathedral. He completed his masters in Musicology and Ethnomusicology at King’s College London, graduating top of his year and featuring as a soloist on the university choir’s recording of Rachmaninoff’s Vespers. He is an NYCGB Fellow (2022/23) and balances his freelance career with an Assistant Director of Music position at a leading independent school and a Lay Clerkship at St George’s Cathedral, Southwark.

Oliver Turner

Oliver Turner

Oliver is a baritone from Manchester currently working as a Lay Clerk at Guildford Cathedral and as a young artist with the Oxford Bach Soloists. Oliver started singing with the Hallé Family of Choirs before moving to Chetham’s School of Music. He continued his studies at the University of York with vocal tuition from Alex Ashworth. Oliver also trains as a vocal leader taking courses with the RSCM and Gabrieli ROAR this year.

Dominic Felts

Dominic Felts

Dominic graduated from the University of Hull in 2021 with a First-Class BA Music degree and received the Andrew Brown Memorial Prize for academic achievement. He went on to study Vocal Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, winning prizes for English and French Art Song and performing a variety of roles in their Postgraduate Opera Scenes. Dominic regularly sings with the Philharmonia Chorus, Exodus and Opera Rara. He also enjoys assisting on music outreach programmes such as Gabrieli Roar.
