VOCES8 Soprano Molly Noon leaving

SAD NEWS

We are sad to announce that soprano Molly Noon is leaving VOCES8 to pursue new projects. Molly joined us in 2021, and we’ve enjoyed many wonderful concerts, recordings and tours together, always benefitting from her easygoing warmth, and sunny approach to life along the way. We wish Molly every success for the future and are so grateful for her time with us.

From Molly:

‘It has been an immense pleasure and privilege to sing with VOCES8 for the last 3 years. The opportunities and experiences have been unforgettable, from recording our album ‘Home’ with Eric Whitacre to performing in the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall last August. The huge range of musical styles makes the job unique, and I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity to expand my musical horizons during this early stage in my career.

The best part about VOCES8, however, is the people: those who come to see us in concert, those who work behind the scenes to make it all happen, and of course the other members of the group. We always say that being a member of VOCES8 is like being in a family, and it’s true. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been a part of this and for the endless support during my time in the group.’

The VOCES8 Foundation Supports The BBC In Securing The Future Of The BBC Singers

The VOCES8 Foundation is delighted that the BBC has announced a sustainable plan for the future for the BBC Singers as an integral part of the BBC’s classical music provision. This news follows the conclusion of a complex project looking at the future of the BBC’s performing groups which was supported by a proposal from The VOCES8 Foundation, a choral music education charity.
